FEM Intest Restore Advanced is a premier powdered
drink mix that provides nutrients needed to support individuals under
chronic inflammatory burden. FEM Intest Restore Advanced can be used in
a diverse manner, providing support for gastrointestinal, cardiovascular
and immune health.
We have included high doses of amino acids
that support the gastrointestinal tract along with traditional
herbs such as skullcap root, turmeric quercetin, ginger and
green tea. FEM Intest Restore Advanced contains a potent bee
propolis standardized to contain 5% caffeic acid phenethyl ester
(CAPE). Studies show CAPE provides great benefit for those with
gastrointestinal related disorders. Larch arbinogalactan is also
included in FEM Intest Restore Advanced for its immune enhancing
activities as well as acting as a prebiotic agent.
Some of the most powerful ingredients in
FEM Intest Restore Advanced are explained below.
L-glutamine is an amino
acid, or part of a protein, that makes up the lining of the
intestinal tract. Low serum levels of glutamine have been linked
to such conditions as Leaky Gut Syndrome, Crones and food
allergies. Athletes have used L-glutamine to prevent the
breakdown of lean muscle, to promote muscle recovery and assist
in building lean muscle. L-glutamine benefits those with insulin
resistance due to its blood sugar balancing properties.
L-glutamine is helpful for those undergoing chemotherapy or
radiation as well as anyone else with a compromised immune
system.
Medium Chain Triglycerides
are a special type of fats that passively diffuse from the GI
tract to the portal system without requirement for modification.
In addition, MCTs do not require bile salts for digestion.
Patients that have malnutrition or malabsorption syndromes are
treated with MCTs because they do not require energy for
absorption, utilization, or storage.
Alpha Linolenic Acid is a
fat originating from flaxseed flour. This is an essential fatty
acid because it cannot be produced by the human body and must be
obtained from dietary sources. Alpha Linolenic Acid has been
assessed for its role in cardiovascular health.
Glycine is an amino acid
that reduces gastric distress, improves detoxification in the
liver, increases the release of human growth hormone and
balances the immune system.
Quercitin is widely
distributed in the plant kingdom and provides many benefits
including heart protection, cancer prevention and antiviral and
anti-inflammatory effects. Quercitin attaches to estrogen
binding site 2, which inhibits overstimulation of the breast
cell by estradiol.
Organic flaxseed flour
(also known as flax meal) contains high levels of lignans and
Omega-3 fatty acids. Lignans may benefit the heart, possess
anti-cancer properties and studies performed on mice found
reduced growth in specific types of tumors. Flax seed may also
lower cholesterol levels, especially in women. Initial studies
suggest that flaxseed taken in the diet may benefit individuals
with certain types of breast and prostate cancers.
Skullcap has shown
anti-arthritic and anti-inflammatory properties, making it
useful as a herbal arthritis treatment. This plant is a potent
antioxidant, which may make this herb helpful in preventing
heart disease and limiting the damage to the heart following a
heart attack. Skullcap also has shown aspirin-like
anti-inflammatory qualities.
Turmeric is the active
ingredient derived from the herb curcuma longa. The active
constituents, which include curcumin, have been shown to be
powerful antioxidants, which can t protect the liver, fight
cancer, and be anti-inflammatory. Cancer researchers have noted
its chemo preventive and therapeutic properties. Studies have
confirmed that it helps stop the spread of breast cancer cells
to their areas of the body.
Capolis is a patented form
of bee propolis. Natural medicine practitioners use propolis for
the relief of various conditions, including inflammation, viral
diseases, ulcers, superficial burns or scalds. Propolis is also
believed to promote heart health, strengthen the immune system
and reduce the chances of cataracts.
Rosemary is an herb that
has been the source of many studies. The result of one study
suggests that carnosic acid, found in rosemary, may shield the
brain from free radicals, lowering the risk of strokes and
neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Lou Gehrig's.
