5 HTP is made from the amino acid L-typtophan with the help of Vitamin B6; and is a precursor to serotonin production. The amino acid tryptophan can be found naturally in protein foods such as turkey and milk. Serotonin is a very important calming neurotransmitter, known as the “feel good hormone.” In the Central Nervous system, serotonin has been implicated in the regulation of sleep, depression, anxiety, aggression, appetite, temperature, sexual behavior and pain sensation. FEM 5HTP is used clinically as a precursor to serotonin; many health conditions are improved by 5HTP therapy. Serotonin plays a key role in sleep regulation, food cravings, mood enhancement, stress and anxiety. For best results take in combination with SAM-e and FEM Cardio.

Dosage: Take one capsule two to three times per day or as recommended by your health care practitioner. For catecholamine support, use Tyrosine; after two weeks to enhance energy and motivation.
